ℹ Citizens of Sri Lanka need a visa to visit New Zealand. Please apply for a visa in advance. Holders of Sri Lankan passports can apply for a visa online. Important! May apply online Holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa or Resident Return Visa may be granted a New Zealand Resident Visa on arrival permitting indefinite stay (pursuant to the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement), subject to meeting character requirements and obtaining Electronic Travel Authorization prior to departure.

Sri Lankan citizens is required Visitor Visa. The maximum period of stay on this visa is 180 days. At the discretion of the embassy staff, the visa can be issued strictly under the travel time line. When applying for a Visitor Visa, the applicant must be in person. You may applay for a New Zealand tourist visa online.

- 1 acceptable photo if you apply online, or 2 photos if you use a paper application form
- Passport or Glossary for certificate of identity

- Need to provide a a medical certificate If you are staying more than 12 months
- You must provide police certificates
- Proof of accommodation pre-payment, like hotel pre-paid vouchers or receipts
- You should have a minimum of NZD $1,000 per month. Alternatively, if your accommodation costs are already covered, NZD $400 per month will suffice. (Please provide bank statements, credit card statements, bank drafts, or travelers cheques as proof.)
- Full medical insurance for the length of your visit
